I tin can't say that this book sticks out in any remarkable way inside the fantasy/shifter/dragon genres but I really enjoyed the mythos of the Nox Incendi and the Solarys. When the plot begins to play out beyond the hook-up, the meat and potatoes of the storytelling begins. I'1000 all for dessert before dinner but in this case Elsa Jade sells her characters brusque. I disliked everyone in the first few chapters with the exception of Torch who is a secondary character. If I weren't in a good mood at the reading I would have given upwards on the lot of them effectually the time the Rave starts waxing about Piper's big haul.
If you have a yen for some light, frou-frou dragon loving you could pick this up and not regret the time spent. I prefer Donna Grant's Darkest Flame to this 1. Kellan is a much more than interesting showtime series hero than Rave, and I like that Grant's Dark Kings are gear up in the same earth as her other series which allows the reader to go a lot more than depth to her characters. Elsa Jade'south characters may not have felt quite so 1 dimensional at the outset of the book if she had a improve fleshed out earth.
